Organization Introduction

Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal is the student organization of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal was established in 1979. The main slogan of Chatra Dal is - Education, Unity, Progress. The head office of this organization is located at Nayapaltan, Dhaka. Currently, many who are involved with BNP politics were associated with Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal.

When Ziaur Rahman established BNP, he felt the need to establish a student organization to create future leadership. So he established this organization centrally on January 1, 1979. At that time, due to Ziaur Rahman's popularity, many young people were inspired to join Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal.

Kazi Asaduzzaman (Dhaka University) was made convenor and the first committee of Chatra Dal was announced on that day.

Aims and Objectives

The objectives and goals of this party are broadly described in the manifesto of Bangladesh Nationalist Party. Briefly, some of the fundamental objectives and goals of this party are described below:

National Unity & Sovereignty

To protect and consolidate Bangladesh's independence, sovereignty, security, state integrity and democracy through ironclad national unity based on Bangladeshi nationalism.

Economic Self-reliance

To protect Bangladesh from imperialism, expansionism, neo-colonialism, hegemony and external aggression through economic self-reliance of a united and revitalized nation.

Human-centered Economy

To achieve human-centered economic development and national prosperity based on social justice through politics of production, free market economy and people's democracy.

Rural Development

To make people in villages aware and well-organized on the basis of nationalist unity and to hand over the capacity and skills of formulating and implementing overall development-oriented plans and projects to the people.

Roots of Democracy

To create such a healthy environment where the roots of democracy are firmly established in the minds of the vast majority of people at the basic level of society.

Social & Political System

To ensure such a clear and stable social and political system through which the people themselves can bring about their human, social and economic improvement.

Parliamentary Democracy

To establish stable democracy through a parliamentary system of government elected by direct vote of the people on the basis of multi-party politics and to bring balanced national development and prosperity.

Foundation of Parliament

To firmly establish the foundation of the nationally elected parliament as a shield for democratic way of life and democratic rule of law and to protect the fundamental rights of the people.

Prevention of Secret Organizations

To reject the activities of political secret organizations and the formation of any armed cadre, party or agency and to create public opinion against it.

Human-centered Social Values

To revive human-centered social values in national life and bring back creative and productive life philosophy.

Justice-based Economy

To establish a justice-based balanced economy in national life through a realistic and effective development process, so that all Bangladeshi citizens get the opportunity to meet their minimum human needs of food, clothing, health, education and housing.

Rural Development Priority

To give priority to overall rural development programs and ensure happiness, peace and prosperity of rural Bengal through active public efforts.

Women & Youth Development

To ensure proper and realistic utilization of all human resources including women and youth communities.

Industrial Production

To ensure maximum production in the industrial sector through realistic economic planning and establishing harmonious labor management relations and sound labor policies.

Culture & Language

To preserve, develop and expand Bengali language and literature, culture, heritage and sports of Bangladesh.

Religious & Human Values

To preserve the age-old human values of the people of Bangladesh by providing opportunities for religious education of Islam and other religions to the vast majority of Bangladeshi people.

Foreign Policy

To maintain international friendship, amity and equality on the basis of non-alignment in foreign policy. To strengthen and deepen friendly relations with neighboring states, allied states of the Third World and fraternal Muslim states on the basis of sovereignty and equality.

Naogaon District Branch

Naogaon District Chatra Dal is a branch organization of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal. It works to protect the rights of students in Naogaon district, establish the ideals of democracy and nationalism, and maintain a democratic environment in educational institutions.
